Top-Ranked University of Geneva Becomes an LAU Partner

LAU’s Office of International Services and Programs will be collaborating with the University of Geneva under a new agreement signed between the two universities, adding it to LAU’s long list of international partners. Students, faculty and staff will be able to engage in academic collaborations, exchanges and research endeavors. Founded in 1559, the University of Geneva ranks among the world’s top 100 universities.

LAU Student Named Finalist for the McCall MacBain Scholarship

LAU senior communications student Wala Al-Sadi has been shortlisted for the McCall MacBain Scholarship, Canada’s largest leadership-based scholarship for master’s and professional studies. Al-Sadi, who hails from Aden, Yemen, is one of only 36 international finalists, out of thousands of applicants, selected for their leadership potential, entrepreneurial spirit and intellectual curiosity, among other criteria.

Jouzour: A New Cultural Immersion Program at LAU

In collaboration with Lebanon & Beyond, a US-based global organization that seeks to revitalize the ties between the Lebanese diaspora and the homeland, LAU has embarked on an interactive cultural immersion program titled Jouzour (Arabic for Roots). Through this partnership, signed last month with the organization’s Chair of the Board of Directors and LAU Trustee Moise Khayrallah, Lebanese expats will attend a five-week session at LAU to enhance their Arabic language skills, volunteer and foster intercultural understanding.

LAU Partners With the American University of Armenia

A new agreement between LAU and the American University of Armenia (AUA)  will open doors for student-and-faculty mobility exchange and research collaborations. AUA offers graduate and undergraduate programs that span the fields of business, education, translation, economics, engineering, law, diplomacy and public health, among others. It has been added to the long list of LAU partner institutions through the Office of International Services and Programs.

LAU Adds UPenn to List of International Partner Institutions

Thanks to a five-year agreement with the University of Pennsylvania (UPenn) College of Liberal and Professional Studies, LAU students can now benefit from study abroad opportunities at the college. UPenn is an Ivy League research-driven university, and one of the oldest institutions of higher education in the US.
